deeply unlikable main character, confusing plot, a couple nice scenes of 90s cyberfuturism

the wacky sound effect scene is highly memorable though

shockingly entertaining. it has tom paris.

extremely boring but cool practical fx in the latter half.

some good stuff. some baaaad acting. overall it was a treat but i didn’t adore it

really disturbing, made me cry, incredibly well made, A+

glad i saw it, don’t need to rewatch it

re-watched this last week but first saw it in 2017 i think. one of my favorites. i realized on the rewatch that character designs were by Hisashi Eguchi whom I love for Stop! Hibari-kun

I don’t really care about watching another fight scene in a movie anymore because I know it will never live up to this.

absolutely bonkers from start to finish — it’s fascinating how a trainwreck like this ever made it to the big screen. this is my favourite movie of all time, i think

but worth watching

it took me way too long to finally watch this. but i liked it a whole lot. i watched the extra long final cut whatever version.
