I’m not sure if I liked this movie better than the other Weird Al film I’ve seen (UHF). There were a lot of extremely good jokes where they play insane situations straighter than my mom, but the overall laughs per minute compared to his earlier work definitely dropped somewhat. Very solid ending and good credits jokes though. ⁷⁄₁₀

ehhhh

deeply unlikable main character, confusing plot, a couple nice scenes of 90s cyberfuturism

it’s something

not one of the better rothrocks

the wacky sound effect scene is highly memorable though

shockingly entertaining. it has tom paris.

extremely boring but cool practical fx in the latter half.

some good stuff. some baaaad acting. overall it was a treat but i didn’t adore it

really disturbing, made me cry, incredibly well made, A+

glad i saw it, don’t need to rewatch it

i really enjoyed this

really quite good

fine premise, great (albeit ill fitting) soundtrack, a couple great sequences. i enjoyed weller’s performance. but overall just bleghh

re-watched this last week but first saw it in 2017 i think. one of my favorites. i realized on the rewatch that character designs were by Hisashi Eguchi whom I love for Stop! Hibari-kun

really quite good. broke the DTV curse we’d been having on vcr party for me

I don’t really care about watching another fight scene in a movie anymore because I know it will never live up to this.

i mean it’s fine

absolutely bonkers from start to finish — it’s fascinating how a trainwreck like this ever made it to the big screen. this is my favourite movie of all time, i think

what a strange movie

but worth watching
